A graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Dave Mauer has been interested in computers since his first Pascal class in college, where all the programming was done on a DEC VAX 11/750. Since then, he has experimented with other languages on several different platforms. As a bibliographer at YBP Library Services, he examines more than 5,000 science and technology titles every year.
Many Academia readers have suggested that it would be helpful to their ordering and selection process if our selection lists were presented in a Microsoft Excel format.
