To complement the YBP Library Services Core 1000, Lindsay and Croft is pleased to make available the L&C CORE 300 list, which is designed to help academic libraries in the ongoing development of their collections.

The L&C Core 300 list is produced using the same methods as the YBP list, involving our Bibliographers selecting these titles from the new academic titles published in the UK. Each quarter, with book-in-hand, our bibliographers will select 75 titles, which they consider to be core for academic library collections. The selection will be made from the complete UK publishing base and will cover all subjects. The four quarterly lists of 75 titles will be combined in February and form the Core 300 for that year.

All of the titles on the Core 300 list are available through L&C and if you do not currently use our services, please contact your bibliographer to make the necessary arrangements to set up an account. If you prefer not to have a separate UK account, YBP can provide coverage for titles that are distributed in North American or they can import the titles through L&C.

It is our hope that this service will prove beneficial to academic libraries and add another dimension to the combined service and coverage L&C and YBP now offer to libraries worldwide.
