Thumbs Up For Wolfner
Make an Impact With Your Unwanted Thumbdrives
- Do you have any old USB thumb drives (memory sticks) lying around your home or office?
- No longer have need for your 128/256/512MB USB flash drives after upgrading to larger ones?
- Does your library or organization have unwanted thumb drives in its lost and found?
Wolfner Library, a library for those who are unable to use standard print materials due to vision loss, physical impairment or reading disability, is asking for your unwanted USB drives. The thumb drives will be used to help distribute digital books and magazines free of charge to readers.
As Wolfner transitions its collection of analog tapes to digital flash cards, there is a need for thumb drives to hold locally produced books, newsletters and ephemeral items, as well as items suited to long-term use, such as Bibles and cookbooks. Donated drives may be kept by the patron indefinitely.
A single 256MB USB drive can hold an entire digital book!
Donations may be delivered to Wolfner Library located in the James C. Kirkpatrick State Information Center, 600 Main Street, Jefferson City or shipped to:
