YBP Academic Services

YBP Library Services provides books and supporting collection management and technical services to academic, research and special libraries around the world.

YBP was founded in 1971 as a bookseller to libraries. In 1999, we were acquired by Baker & Taylor, a leading supplier of books, movies, music, and information products to libraries and retailers worldwide. We've grown from a two-person operation to a company of over 300 employees. Today, YBP offers the widest range of product offerings in the industry, as well as value-added and customized services.

YBP's GOBI (Global Online Bibliographic Information) is an online database supporting YBP's services. GOBI provides libraries with a sophisticated acquisitions and collection management support system, with ready access to querying, selecting, ordering, reporting, and approval plan profile management functions across a growing database of close to 2 million English-language titles.

YBP's headquarters are located in Contoocook, New Hampshire, a village 70 miles north of Boston. Our U.K. office, Lindsay and Croft, is in Godalming, a town in the county of Surrey, approximately 35 miles southwest of London.
