Firm Orders

Libraries can use YBP's firm order service to obtain newly released material, as well as to acquire older, less current titles. YBP accepts firm orders via USPS, fax, email, and in electronic formats including GOBI and most library ordering systems.

Order Fulfillment
Fast and accurate fulfillment is a YBP trademark. YBP's meticulous attention to bibliographic and order detail, our own large inventory of current titles plus our access to Baker & Taylor's extensive inventory of current and backlist titles, and our wide and active publisher contacts allow customers to enjoy fulfillment that is accurate and fast. And, our duplication control procedures keep libraries from receiving unwanted duplicates--we cross check every firm order against approval plan shipments and continuations orders, as well as against all shipments from Lindsay and Croft.

Billing/Shipping
YBP offers invoices customized to your own library's requirements. Plus, we guarantee reliable delivery schedules to help manage the library's workflow.

Complete Book Processing
Through our full range of technical services, YBP can provide shelf-ready books for your library, including cataloging and all physical processing requirements, reducing the workload of library staff. YBP also offers pre-binding of paperbacks.

Electronic Ordering & Invoicing
YBP supports electronic ordering interfaces with virtually all library ordering systems. We work with orders placed via e-mail and FTP, and accept orders in EDI formats such as BISAC, X12, and EDIFACT. YBP, as well, can insert invoicing data into MARC records.
