GobiExport

GobiExport is a feature designed to dramatically improve workflow efficiencies for YBP customers by allowing users to load batches of selected records to the library's local system for further manipulation.

GobiExport records are created by exporting titles from GOBI³ individually or in batches. Once loaded to the library's local system, the records support demand-driven purchasing, duplication control and order creation. Also, they obviate the need for local keying of bibliographic and order data.

GobiExport records are MARC-formatted and contain either brief bibliographic information or the best available cataloging data at the time of export, depending on the level of service requested by the library. Any local library-specific information entered into GOBI³ by library staff prior to record export is also included. Details of data mappings and customization are available upon request.

The generation and management of GobiExport records is library-mediated. To initiate this service, libraries should contact their YBP representative or send an email to sales@ybp.com.
