Baker & Taylor is aware that the past few years have been tough on libraries. Patron demand for library materials, and in particular for popular best-sellers, is rising just as funding is disappearing. For the librarians that already have plenty to do, taking time out to research best-selling authors and their forthcoming books can be another task on a list that's already too long. If you would like some help in this capacity, Baker & Taylor has a solution. Our Automatically Yours program allows you to place a standing order for titles written by authors that are continually in high demand, freeing up your time for other projects while we track forthcoming titles by your preferred authors. The plan runs alongside any firm order purchases, allowing you to receive your usual discount and your usual processing and cataloging, or you can choose to create a new account with different technical specifications for your plan. If you accidentally order a title on your firm order account that is expected on your Automatically Yours plan, it's no problem! You can cancel that book on your plan without cancelling the entire standing order for that author. With the monthly reports you receive that identify titles being published in the next six months, it's easy to review what titles will be coming to help with duplication control. There are a number of different Automatically Yours plans available: Popular Adult Fiction, Children and Teen Awards, DVD Plans, Spoken Word Audio, and more. Plus, if you sign up for our Before-On-Sale-Shipping program (BOSS), you could receive your titles even faster- allowing your patrons to have access to them sooner*. Not convinced yet that Automatically Yours is right for your library, or looking to learn more about collection development programs? Feel free to speak with your sales representative, or email sales@ybp.com, to learn more about the benefits of Automatically Yours and others (like Book Leasing for those with limited shelf space). *Please note that not all publishers participate in the BOSS program. |
