Integrated Library Systems and YBP / B&T
Online Customer Support (OCS) is Baker & Taylor's FREE web-based account management system. Baker & Taylor customers can access our OCS system 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to search and view information related to their accounts, orders, and invoices with Baker & Taylor.
YBP and Baker & Taylor have developed close working ties with library systems vendors to ensure a
high level of integration and support for our mutual customers. We strive to create and maintain
robust interfaces for electronic ordering, order responses, and invoicing, and the download of MARC
records from our GOBI and TitleSource systems, as well as shipping and cataloging records. Each of
the ILS vendors listed below has worked with YBP/Baker & Taylor and our mutual customers to develop
rich integration between our systems, though that level of integration may vary a bit from system to
system. We also support basic services with many other integrated library systems that have a smaller
number of installations within our customer base.
As always, we rely on input from our library customers to determine priorities for continuing development.
We are currently talking with the developers of the emerging open source systems, to ensure that
libraries' acquisitions and cataloging workflows with YBP and Baker & Taylor will be as efficient
as possible.
