Publisher Lists

Spring 2007

Dear Librarian:

We are pleased to offer you our latest list of publisher additions to the YBP Approval Plan program.

Each new imprint is described briefly, summarizing its subject focus and annual output.

We will begin covering these publishers under the specifications of our customers’ subject profiles and customer specifications for new publishers.  For most of our libraries, this will mean notification slip coverage. Please contact your Bibliographer-Liaison if you wish to modify coverage or have any questions.

We have also listed imprints that have been dropped from our Approval Plan program and updates on presses we already cover.

With these latest changes, YBP is offering Approval Plan coverage to more than 1500 imprints. This is supplemented by our select “AP Plus!” coverage of non-approval presses. We will close FY2007 having profiled 62,000 titles…9% more than the previous year. Our press list provides strong coverage in all subject areas. With our newest additions, we have further strengthened our coverage of medical presses. In previous seasons, we have rounded out our coverage of publishers in Africa, Australia, Canada and New Zealand.

We believe our coverage is extremely broad, but we continue to look for good, new presses to add. If there are presses you and your colleagues would like to collect via your approval plan please notify your sales or customer service representative. We will strongly consider any recommendations.
