Dear Librarian:

We are pleased to offer you our latest list of publisher additions to the YBP Approval Plan program.

Each new imprint is described briefly, summarizing its subject focus and annual output.

We will begin covering these publishers under the specifications of our customers' subject profiles and customer specifications for new publishers. For most of our libraries, this will mean notification slip coverage. Please contact your Bibliographer-Liaison if you wish to modify coverage or have any questions.

We have also listed imprints that have been dropped from our Approval Plan program and updates on presses we already cover.

As always, we welcome your suggestions. Many additions to the list are made in response to librarian recommendations. Our decision to add a press is influenced by:

• Library demand measured by our historic firm order or AP Plus! sales and our understanding of how well a publisher's titles will sell.
• The annual title output of the press. To justify the effort, we look for a minimum of 5 titles/year.
• Our ability to obtain title announcements and books from a publisher. Unless we believe we can provide complete and timely coverage, we won't add the press.
• To a lesser degree, publisher terms. If a publisher will not accept returns, requires prepayment and/or offers little or no discount, library demand for their titles must be strong before we add them.

If there are presses you and your colleagues would like to collect via your approval plan and they meet these general criteria, please notify your sales or customer service representative.
